Why you installed a prerelease version of X, to get support for a card (9250, 
right?) that was definitely supported in the last release, is a bit of a 
mystery.

Why you also chose to install 6.8.99.1 when the snapshots are up to about 
6.8.99.15 is more of a mystery.

This, however, is no mystery.  The 2D driver in Xorg enables color tiling by 
default, but the bundled DRI driver doesn't understand color tiling yet.  
This will be fixed in 7.0, in the meantime:

Option "ColorTiling" "off"
