I use the r300 driver from Xorg 6.9 and kernel 2.6.15 on a Radeon 9600. I read somewhere that r300 should work with suspend to disk a while ago. When I switch to the text console before suspend, the resume succeeds, but I have the problem from above as soon as I switch back to the X screen. Without radeon.ko loaded, resume works fine.
