Solaris *should* run fine on this system. You will probably not get
some of the more advanced CPU power management features, though. (AMD
multicore CPUs earlier than Barcelona can't do CPU power management on
Solaris.
You might have to use your disks in non-RAID/JBOD mode though - make
sure you can configure the onboard HBA for non-RAID mode.
