What mistake?  What error? We can't tell you how to fix something that we don't
know about.   I'm sorry if you posted it many messages ago, but I get hundreds
of e-mails a day and can't get anything done unless I delete most of them after
reading them, and don't have the entire back context available to me.

Right, you should ignore that link, it has nothing useful for you or anyone else
who is not building their own distro from scratch.

I have sitting in my office at work a Sun Blade 2500 with XVR-100 graphics,
originally installed with AI at snv_131, since image-updated to snv_134,
no /etc/X11/xorg.conf or other manual configuration, and a running desktop
system, autostarted as normal via gdm.

As it is on SPARC, unless you've hit a bug, but since you haven't explained
what's not working, we can't tell if you have or not.
