Funny you should mention that, I've been meaning to write the list...
I actually already removed the wiki list and replaced it with a
launchpad sprint (which also allows us to plan which blueprints and such
we might want to discuss) It's a piece of cake form (essentially click
this link:
https://launchpad.net/sprints/ddd0410/+attend
And click "register". No wiki editing.
To check out the Sprint, go to https://launchpad.net/sprints/ddd0410
Please, anybody - feel free to propose blueprints as topics of discussion.
Since this uses the same login that the mailing list and everything else
we do does, I doubt there are many people at this point who care about
drizzle who do not have a launchpad account. BUT - I just added a note
that people can just email us if they feel that a launchpad account is
too much of a barrier to entry. (Although honestly, if they don't have a
launchpad account at this point...)

Hi!
I've been asking around to a few folks I know "hey! Why haven't you
signed up?"
The answer is "I am just going to show up, the wiki required me to login".
So? My suggestions:
1) Ditch the requirement to sign up.
2) Put up a google form for people who would like to be counted for lunch.
The login creates a gate, and I don't blame folks for not wanting to
deal with it.
Cheers,
