The use of the term 'tuple' here is very awkward, overloading/
conflicting with commonly known use of the term (roughly put, a row in
an RDBMS).
The new type (from discussion with Brian) appears to be somewhat like
an array, but more closely related to the HyperTable/BigTable concept
of a Column Family, allowing many-to-many relationships such as 0-N
phone numbers belonging to a contact to be denormalised into the
contact table, saving 2 joins and thus making life easier in a cloud/
clustered environment.
I think this is a rocking development, very useful - but please let's
fix up the naming before it sticks.
thanks
Regards,
Arjen.
