In an off-list discussion I made a point to Daniel that comparing similar version of InnoDB (or perhaps we are more alike XtraDB) makes sense. Then the comparison becomes a comparison of MySQL server level vs Drizzle server level on top of same InnoDB version. Such results should be generally interesting and educational. I think the original policy of Drizzle devs themselves not publishing comparative benchmarks has served Drizzle well and avoided conflicts. However, people want to see benchmarks. I believe it is okay if people like Daniel and myself, who have not worked on any code that would impact performance, can safely do it - we are clearly impartial wrt that code. henrik -- [email protected] +358-40-8211286 skype: henrik.ingo irc: hingo www.openlife.cc My LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=9522559 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~drizzle-discuss Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~drizzle-discuss More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
