Dorothea Salo commented on DS-362:
----------------------------------

I'm convinced by Claudia's explanation that it's a problem somewhere in our
configs. Since we're migrating off DSpace, it doesn't seem worth expending
effort to fix. I'd mark this one a WORKS FOR ME if I were a committer; I don't
think it's a DSpace problem.

> Alphabetization broken in author browse; disregards spaces?

> Browsing by author in XMLUI yields strange alphabetization. E.g. from
> mi...@uw (screenshot attached):
> Choudhury, Anindo
> Choudoir, Christopher
> Chounard, Edward
> Chou, Richard M.
> Chousal, L.
> Chow, D.
> Chowdhury, Mashrur
> Cho, Yoonyoung
> Choy, Young Bin
> What seems to be happening is that the indexer is running words together
> (ignoring spaces) and then alphabetizing. Correct behavior (at least in
> English) would be putting word-boundary before "a".
