Ivan Masár commented on DS-1496:
--------------------------------

What does the word "mappings" do in the SQL query? Did you insert it there by
accident? Look at this place in your source and check that "mappings" is not
there:

https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-3.0/dspace-api/src/main/java/org/dspace/content/Collection.java#L367

Also, as a general note, when you're pasting stack traces, please, paste the
whole thing. The most important thing is usually at the end (Caused by:).

> At irregular intervals, CollectionRecentSubmissions throws a
> NullPointerException. The issue can be resolved by restarting Tomcat, but of
> course this is impractical (once the problem appears it continues to do so
> until Tomcat is restarted).
> See also the discussion at [dspace-tech]:
> http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg20749.html
> Attached is the cocoon logfile snippet with the stacktrace.
> The problem does not appear for empty collections and seems to be unrelated
> to whether Discovery is enabled or what the recent.submissions.count is set
> to in dspace.cfg.
