This all sounds good. Though, I'd suggest a slightly higher MaxLogs (maybe 14?), just for a bit more of a "safety net" for debugging any issues that could pop up. We can always add a note to log4j.properties to let folks know they are welcome to increase or decrease the MaxLogs based on their own policies.

Sidenote: While we are in log4j.properties, it also may be worth opening a separate ticket to switch the MaxLogs for the Cocoon logs from "0" (unlimited) to something smaller (and possibly make those ERROR level as well by default)...those Cocoon logs also have no real long-term value, but may be important for debugging errors.
