Tltr: I want to grant a workflow step to anyone who got a dedicated shibboleth attribute by our Identity Provider. For every dicipline of our university we have a DSpace Community. The chair of the dicipline should be able to decide which item gets published and which one shouldn't. Our university has campus wide single sign on using shibboleth. There is a shibboleth attribute which tells me if a user is a normal user or the chair of a discipline and to which discipline he or she belongs to. A chair can even tell our Shibboleth Identity Provider to set the shibboleth attribute for any other person with a campus login, g.e. his or her assistent. The only special on a special group is, that this relation does not get stored (see the link to DSpace documentation above). Doing so a shibboleth attribute is only helpful to grant read permissions, but it is impossible to grant permissions that allows one to manage a Community or Collection. But the latter one is what I would like to do.
