My repository uses DSpace 1.8.1 (www.lume.ufrgs.br<http://www.lume.ufrgs.br>)
When I searched "site:lume.ufrgs.br" at Google Scholar, 33,900 articles were
returned, almost all with PDF link on the right. But when I searched
"filetype:pdf site:lume.ufrgs.br" just 312 articles were returned? Due the
presence of PDF link on first search, I concluded that Google Scholar can see
the PDFs of almost all 33,900 articles indexed from my repository, but only 312
were returned when I add filetype:pdf in the search. Why this behaviour? Can I
do something to avoid it and make the second search returns a number closer to
the first search?
I ask the Google Scholar group, but they still don't answer.
