Hi Paula,

As far as I know, you will require 2 fields in the metadata.
Maybe a shot in the dark but, have you updated these fields in dspace.cfg:

#### Embargo Settings ####
# DC metadata field to hold the user-supplied embargo terms
embargo.field.terms = SCHEMA.ELEMENT.QUALIFIER

# DC metadata field to hold computed "lift date" of embargo
embargo.field.lift = SCHEMA.ELEMENT.QUALIFIER
