Hi, I'm Jose Blanco from the University of Michigan
(http://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/). We are currently running dspace 1.6.1 and
I'm working on upgrading to 1.7. We have lots of customizations - many in the
jsp pages, but also a lot in the code itself. When I upgrade I use cvs vendor
branch "technology" to help me merge the code that is presently active with the
code that is released from dspace. We have been doing this since the original
release of dspace ( or close to it ). I hope to have our version upgraded to
1.7 within the next couple of weeks.

I'm Ada Emmett at the University of Kansas and help manage KU ScholarWorks, our
installation of DSpace (1.6). We've been up and running since 2005 and are
considering an upgrade to 1.7 in early spring.

I'm Sarah Shreeves from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and
manage IDEALS (http://www.ideals.illinois.edu/). IDEALS has been up and running
since 2006.
We're still running DSpace 1.5.2 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. We're in the
midst of plans for an upgrade to 1.6 for this spring, we hope. I'm not sure
when we'll get to 1.7. Our issues in terms of upgrading are programmer
resources given our customizations - always the tradeoff!
