We are working on sharing data between DSpace - institutional repositories and
semantic search engines, such as VIVO.
We need to transform our DSpace relational database to an ontology.
We have designed a system that extracts data from a DSpace database
and transforms it into an ontology.
In DSpace, anyone can develop a DSpace data model according to
its organizational requirements. Currently we are evaluating our system
that it transforms any type of DSpace data model to an ontology accurately.
*For that purpose we need some DSpace databases for evaluation of our tool.
We need a database that contains at least
10-15 communities/sub-communities, 20-25 collections and 100-150 items.*
As DSpace is open source software so we will also make our system open
source and anyone who wants will be able to use it as an add-on.
We would request to share your DSpace database or its dummy/test data, so
we can use it as our *test bed* for evaluating the designed system.
We also give you the surety that your database will not be used
or disclosed for any other purpose and if you have any privacy policies
then we will also accept all the terms and conditions of them.
It will be highly appreciated if you please favor us by your valuable
contribution in this research work.
