Hello Keith,

check the structure of your source directory
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test

The source directory should contain one directory per item, e.g.
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test\item01
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test\item02
...

with the files belonging to the item in that directory
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test\item01\contents
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test\item01\dublin-core.xml
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test\item01\foo1.pdf
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test\item01\foo2.xyz

Furthermore it is not necessary to create the browse indices and restart your servlet container.

If you got the item counter set to cache you might consider refreshing the item count.

Hope that helps

Claudia Jürgen

I'm trying to perform a batch import on a test folder for a
collection in a new DSpace installation.

I entered the following command (Windows server btw):

E:\DSpace\bin>dsrun org.dspace.app.itemimport.ItemImport -a -e (my
email address) -c 123456789/2 -s E:\IMPORT_TEST\test m-
E:\IMPORT_TEST\test\mapfile.txt

I then ran the IndexBrowse and ItemCounter commands and stop/restart
Tomcat.

The mapfile generated by DSpace is blank and nothing shows up when I
try to browse the collection. I get the message: There are no
entries in the index for Collection
"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX".

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
