We do have code that does that, but it's quite an ugly hack -- it filters results from the browse pages (including search results) by checking authorization as the browse list is created. This does mess up pagination. Sadly, our developer is indisposed at the moment, and I wouldn't know where to find all the changes, so sharing it isn't really possible at the moment. Sorry. However, I do gather that to Do It Properly, changes would be needed to the actual browse system.
