That means that the email address you put into the registration form already has a DSpace account. Hmm, it seems like you're using the X509Authentication authentication method (client certificates). That means that the user with the email you specified is not logging in using a password, but a personal certificate installed in your web browser. I don't have experience with those, but as I wrote before, it shouldn't be necessary because the user already exists.
