Hi George, yes, you can do that (update the handle table) just fine. Afterwards, don't forget to run [dspace]/etc/postgres/update-sequences.sql
But why do you need to crawl the metadatavalue table? If you already have handles or item_ids, you can just take them from the original handle table. What do you have that identifies the items?
