I think it is a combination with the version of Apache Tomcat + Version of Dspace + Running Dspace under SSL protocol.
If it is a fact with a Java class outside Dspace, I dont think there will be a solution. And as far as I concern, it must be this because as I wrote in my first post, the debugs I put into UploadStep.java are not being shown when the upload fails.
