Yes. The From: header is perhaps the most easily forged element of an e-mail. It isn't trustworthy. Period. dspam deals with statistical methods of judging how likely a message is spam. The whitelist feature is only available from within the larger framework because it has to be able to be overturned if and when that From: address _is_ forged. If you really want to whitelist some address, use your MTA's configuration to avoid sending the e-mail through dspam for those addresses.
