I've rolled up my own Debian packages with the latest cvs version.
I've backported the patches discussed in an earlier post and i've

(re)submit here as attachment.
To what extent should these work as drop-in replacements for the stock
Debian 3.6.8 builds? Would adding your repos then "apt-get update"-ing
to your code likely work on a working server or likely break horribly?
Actually those packages have a "small" defect. The problem has come to
my attention just recently by Ian Christian who has droped me an email.
The problem is that the hash driver is not included in the package. I
only use the MySQL driver and so i didn't see it comming. So basically
if you use the hash driver your installation will be crippled. If not,
my guess is that it all goes well. I preformed the update from 3.6.8 to
that unofficial version using those packages without breaking anything,
but i would advise you to test on a non-live system before.
If you can wait a few days i'll repackage that same version with the
fix. Let me know if that's the case.
Thanks in advance,
Hugo Monteiro.
