And don’t forget that we seldom locate repeaters in valleys that are prone to flooding, I like my repeaters on top of the hill. Not all repeaters are connected with DSL service, some have very high reliability connections. No, I’m not going to count on the fact that Internet is going to always be available. But I’m not going to say that it never will be available. History has shown that the Internet is much more survivable than some hams think.
