Can't say I have had that issue.... I did when it was the pre- keyup issue...
Sent the 2820 in a year ago... story as I have to say is when I got my radio back.... everyone compared it to my IRLP systems, clean cut, and el naturel! Even my son's voice used as an id, you can tell a difference between day and night on the audio.. as I kept the before repair id, and the after repair id's.. So, it went in for something warranty, came out better then when it went in...
