Bob, you are right, switching time, in DD Mode is a huge problem. One knowledgable person told me a vacuum relay, might be a possibility. I doubt it. Switching a preamp in and out with PIN diodes, I would think, is feasible. Switching a Power Amp, with PIN diodes I am told would be very expensive, if it is feasible, at all. A better receiver in the DD box and the ID-1 would be a big help. So, would a little more power. - Buddy WB4OMG
