I believe so.. there are a few tricks particularly if they are windows vm's, but if you have a scrape around the virtualbox site there is a bit of a wiki article on those kinda hacks. Google should help you with your drive conversion too. I believe the procedure may be something like... use qemu-img to turn your vmdk image to a flat file then use a virtualbox utility to convert it to a virtualbox file of some kind, but there are people who seem to have done it.. I'm installing mine from scratch, so I've just let my old qemu images go. Not gonna bother even trying to convert them.
