Location Manager is great for this. I have locations set up for the DuoDock,
my MiniDock and standalone (no Docks). You can easily switch between your
setting from the control strip.
In the DuoDock (at home) I have settings for Ethernet and internet access
via DSL. In the MiniDock (at work) I network via Ethernet and connect to the
internet via an external modem. As stand alone I use LocalTalk (serial port)
and get email via the internal modem.
The only problem you'll have is creating your settings for the DuoDock
without a monitor. If you could put a monitor on temporarily just to set it
up you should be OK.
When you want to put it in the Dock you simply select the Dock setting
you've created and then shutdown the Duo. Then when you boot from within the
Duo everything will be set.
Go to your Help (or OS Help) menu to learn how to set up & use Locations.
