i have been able to use my duos in SCSI disk mode. the key is the
adaptor. it goes from HD30 (small square) to Centronics 50 (long
wide donut like shape). i have both adaptors cos i didn't buy wisely
the first time and didn't get the switchable kind. the key is in the
centronics end: if it has the wire clips that clasp the connectors
together, then it is for SCSI disk mode. if it does not, then it is
for using SCSI devices on your duo. i don't know how the switchable
ones do it, but that's how mine work. the 30th pin is in use in the
SCSI disk mode cable, and there is no 30th pin in the SCSI peripheral
cable. (it is just missing)
confusing enough?
