Everyone else has weighed in so I'll throw in my 2¢.

My 2400 flickered quite a lot when plugged in and it wasn't due to the AC bricks either. I wouldn't worry about it. My flickering started happening just after the screen and motherboard got swapped out.

I did observe that adjusting the screen brightness would reduce the flickering. Try that and see, perhaps the switch gets cranky from disuse and being set in the same place indefinitly. Or having a lower amount of power to the screen affected it's flickering. . .
