Try getting a tech support on a PeeCee 1 year after the discontinue date.
Good luck. OTOH APple did support discontinued Macs for a while and I believe
they still offer Applecare coverage for Macs as old as the Plus.

Try the newest G4 Macs inside an Altair. A vintage 30 years old hobbiest
computer, still good for computer hacking and tweaking. ;-) Of course
figuring out how to make the Mac run w/o the keyboard and mouse would be some
challenge but not impossible. (Unlike some PeeCees that often balks at POST
screen if there's no keyboard installed.)

I still got my Duo 280c for many things that aren't speed intenstive. I
remembered when a Mac 128K (and XT) were just enough for word processing. You
got to wonder what was MicroShit was thinking when they made their latest
Office XP so slow and bloated that you need at least P4 with multigigabyte
hard drive to get decent work out of the word processing.
