Allrighty, I have taken the plunge and dismantled the PowerBook.  So far 
the KB, palmrest, and shields are off.  I have disconnected the black and 
red lead on the logic board.  I think that this is the PRAM battery.  The 
black and red wires go underneath the LB on the right edge next to the 
battery bay.  I cannot get the LB up and out yet, but I think these are the 
leads to the PRAM battery.  Can anyone who has done a teardown confirm 
this?  I just got email from the seller of this 'book telling me to go pack 
sand, no refunds....So I really haven't anything to lose byt picking up a 
screwdriver.

There are an awful lot of screws!
