I know that I am getting power because I can hear the speaker click and give faint white noise when I hit the external KB power button. Couldn't make note of that till partial dissassembly so that I could put the little speaker right up to my ear.
Right now I cannot get the logic board out. I thought I got all of the middle and perimeter screws out (even the one under the little white ribbon cable up top. Do I have to loosen or remove that large metal bar at the case top? Every time I pry at the logic board the whole inside assembly with HD and frame comes up too. Plus, I am not sure if the PRAM battery is disconnected yet. Is that the red and black lead that is attached to the left side of the LB? I am not a technically minded sort. Solder is out of the question for me as I am too shaky with the iron. Just doing this partial dismantle has frazzled me good. Scott ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
