Hello Brynn and fellow Duo/2400 lovers,
I've got a PB2400c in "near perfect condition" that I just fixed.
It had a bad I/O Power Board which prevented it from booting at all.
It had been that way for "several years".
I just upgraded the OS to 8.6 (still the most stable OS in my opinion).
This machine has "80 Megs RAM", 1.3 Gig Hard Drive, MS Office 98 and
a variety of miscellaneous software.
It has the original AC Adapter and the External Floppy Drive (EFD). Note:
I can not find the cable that connects the EFD to the PB itself. You will
have to hunt this down on your own.
I went through this machine with a fine tooth comb and made it CardBus
Ready (so it can accept the USB/Firewire/other new cards), reseated all
of the components, "tightened every screw", and ran Norton Disk Doctor
on the drive. I will even give you (or anyone else who's interested) a
"brand new" 5-compartment laptop briefcase.
It's yours for $350.00 (the I/O Power Board just cost me $105.00 alone)
Let me know,
Ray

thanks everyone for your responses.

i did see the ebay listing. frankly, i was put off by
the florid description and high price -- it's out of
my range at this time. maybe i'll have to settle for a
less rare, less expensive machine.

what are your thoughts on the duo 2300c? have you guys
had good experiences?
