Which compatiblity list is this? I have been using 10.1.0 thru 10.1.5 for
the past two month without any problems. Nothing works without XPF.

Do not trust Apple System Profiler, it gives misleading read outs for
those upgrade cards. I do notice the speed difference and power
consumption with and without the cache.

It means Startup Disk in OS9. In any case, you should stay with XPF
because it patches your NVRAM differently than what Apple's softwrae does.
