Hi:

I'm a newbie to the list and to Macs. I always wanted a PowerBook from the
first time I saw one but lived in a Wintel world. The PowerBooks had the most
elegant design. Much better than the average wintel book. (The only Mac I
used was an original Mac 128 for a short time in grad school.) I'm now out of
the wintel world (though my kids' school is still sadly misguided) and looking
for a 2400c.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I'm looking for a good 2400c -- either with
the Interware G3 or a good 2400c and a separate Interware G3. I'm also looking
for batteries.

If it hasn't been done already, I'll max out the ram with one of the 96 meg
cards (still in existence?) and put in a bigger harddrive.

Can anyone advise on which OS to use? Its pretty complicated. Which will run
reliably on the 2400c (with and without the G3 upgrade)?

Sorry, a lot of these questions seem very basic. Please bear with me.

Thank you very much.
