Thank you all for your help.

I have a newton 2100 and hope that one day I will be the happy owner of a duo dock II or Plus, and the 2300.

Does anyone use the following configuration?
A newton (2100 or other) and a duodock? If so, how is it connected?
Could you please list hardware and software?

Hi, I have both of those...

Nothing fancy; just a serial cable connecting the Dock's printer port and the
Newton (via the serial adapter).

As far as software, I was using Newton Backup Utility before I found the
Newton Connection Utility at unna.org. Hope that helps...
