After reading the service manual for the Duo, It states that the Duo modem can not be removed from the motherboard unless you install an "on/off" board. Is there a benefit to removing the internal modem and if so, I would need to get a replacement on/off board. What do you think is best. Of course, leaving the modem installed means that I can always use communications even if I were without my Nice 56K pegasus external Modem. (cool upon cool in design) Mike P.S. this also seems to indicate that if one were to come across a dead Duo the internal modem might be more valuable than originally thought. Without the modem, it seems to imply that the Machine will not work at all (maybe this was a technote for the 280 series, but I don't have it here, to verify.) ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
