Yeah, the keyboard was the reason I chose a portege (which had an 18mm keypitch) over
the vaio....that and I didn't care for the Vaio's trackpad.
But the big issue with these things is heat. I've seen people complain about their
PowerBooks getting hot, but it's nothing like these ultraportables. They get really
really hot....and not just on the bottom....the keyboard and palmrests become
incredibly hot too.
The Vaio is also especially weak in the area of battery life.....about 1 hour to 1.5
hours max.....but as I said, after about an hour of use, it gets so hot that you can
barely stand to touch it anyway.
