Well, it may work with certain cards, but not all.

After reading this on O'Grady, I was (again) excited. So, I pulled out my
Farallon 10/100 card to try again. Same results - on insert the finder
restarts.

Then, I remembered, if I insert the card while the machine is off, it won't
even boot (screen stays dark, but HD spins). So, it definately has to be
*something* hardware related.
