Right, but what about G4 upgrades for non-G3 computers? What's to stop
third party vendors from selling to them? I know I would gladly shell out
another $500 to get another significant speed boost (assuming I already
shelled out $500 for the G3 already) versus spending $2,000+ to buy a whole
new G4 (unless they introduce the new sub-portable at the same time). Why
is G4 any different than G3 in terms of an accelerator board?
