Hi (Hi everyone, I'm new to the list : {)} )
Pam:
Snif, snif...does this mean that my Dock's power supply is just plain doomed?
I liked my 230 system so much I now also have a 2300c-with a new dock. I
gave the 230 to Mom and now hove two docks to take care of (hers and mine)....
The power supply ticks and crashes...then just ticks about every 18 months.
It must be some bad part, but I don't know which one. I'm pretty capable and
would have no problem replacing it if I just know which part and where to get
a replacement. Appearently, you solved it by getting a different dock. Do
you ( or anyone else out there) know how to fix the darn thing?
On the birghter side, perhaps, (for you), the ol' 230 quit working well with
external keyboards and mouses (on docks and microdocks (it's the 230)). I've
tried all the ususal fixes (Easy Access, ZAP PRAM, etc.). So, I'm kind of
wondering what kind of money you are thinking of for that extra 2300c? (Or,
if you've sold it: doesn anyone have ideas on this external keyboard problem?
Has it happened to any one else?)
Thanks,
++Dave
