I doubt that Apple used different power supplies for the different 
power systems. All PS's since the II (with a few exceptions?) were 
suitable for both 110V and 230V. My SE/30 has a PS I pulled from a US 
SE/30 (I'm from Germany). I swapped the original PS because the one 
from the US was cooler. We once had to work on a overloaded power 
line with just about 170V instead of 230V, and everything, the 
PM7200, several PCs, monitors etc. worked perfectly. So the ticking 
dock should be a global problem...
