I installed OS 9, after having various problems with my Commuicard Plus, no
of which fixed it. I reccoment not installing 9 over 8.6 btw. I did a
reformant, and a clean install and I find the speed to be very good. It is
a bit faster than 8.6.

Startup time is signifigantly decreased. DHCP works a lot better in OS 9.
Disk First Aid (at start-up) is a heck of a lot faster than 8.6. In
general, the machine tends to be a bit zippier.

Sherlock II is one of the only downsides of 9 for us 2400 owners. It takes
a large amount of time to load, it runs a bit slow, but all in all, it's
still worth using.

I don't use it.

I would say so.
