Dear All -

I have a Duo280c in a mini-dock, with a SCSI adapter cable (switch
set to ON), linked to a PowerMac 6100, via an external (blue) SCSI
Zip drive. Duo SCSI mode set to 2. PMac running System 8

Trial 1: Zip terminator set to ON.

Result: Duo hard disk visible to PMac, but transfers of more than a
handful of files (from Duo to PMac - prior to re-loading a new
System) bring the PMac to a halt, necessitating a re-start.

Trial : Zip terminator set to OFF.

Result: Duo hard disk NOT visible to PMac. Opening SilverLining
control panel resulted in PMac freeze, necessitating a power
re-start.

I'd like to be able to use the SCSI mode, firstly to load a new
System 8.1 onto the Duo, and secondly to transfer files for work.

Any ideas, please?

Yours in anticipation.........
