My 2400 won't charge the battery. It always shows the battery empty and the control strip cycles with the three battery status icons: Charging, charged with battery in, battery out. The nearby service center says they think the problem is the internal power supply. They want $850(!!!) top fix it. Gee for $850, I could replace the whole computer! Yesterday I took the power supply out to check for the obvious such as burned things and blown fuses. (There's 6 in the power supply board.) I feel very confident that I am a qualified Powerbook surgeon, but now I need a new power supply. Does somebody have a PB 2400 that has been run over by a car? Or does somebody know where I can buy a new power supply. Mike Friese ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
