I think there is a big vacuum in the software market
in this area. I am still using the TouchBase
Pro/DateBook Pro combo on my 2400 G3. This is old
software and I'm amazed it will run on this machine
since I had trouble with it on a 9600 desktop under OS
8.1. For a while I thought MS Outlook (this is NOT the
same as Outlook Express!!) would be my PIM of the
future. I have used it on a Wintel machine at the
office, but I don't know yet how good the Mac version
will be or how easy it will be to set up on the NT
network. If the Newton were still around I would
definitely go that way. I just can't quite manage to
get too excited about Palms, although I do appreciate
their support for Claris Organizer, which by all
reports is still a great program. I would like to see
a really bullet-proof MS Outlook type program that
functions either on a network or as a stand alone
application. I am sick of having to have multiple
address books that can't talk to each other!
