GeoPort runs at 2 megabits per second max, not 2 megabytes per second.

The SCSI host adapter (in this case the USB to SCSI converter) can 
control exactly how fast SCSI runs, especially if it uses 
asynchronous transfers.  So it's no problem to slow SCSI down to 
match speeds with USB.
