I just acquired a new Olympus D450 camera. I love it with one caveat: the serial connection is *painfully* slow. It makes my old QuickTake 150 seem lightning fast in comparison... I guess it is that Geoport thing with the Apple hardware. Anyway, I'm seaching for alternatives. The floppy reader doesn't seem too smart since I rarely tote my floppy around... There is a PCMCIA reader though: (quoted from the Olympus website) >PCMIA MA2 adapter for SmartMedia >Download images from any Olympus SmartMedia digital camera with the >MA2 PCMCIA adapter. Works in both Macintosh and Windows 95/98 PC >card slots, providing download speed up to 300 times faster than >serial. Unfortunately that is the extent of the info. Has any other 2400c user tried one of these cards? Does it work? Does ikt require cardbus? Any info would be appreciated. --chuck goolsbee seattle, wa ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
