Unless you can find a NEW battery, most of the batteries for the great 2300 
have been used, some even used up...so if you can get an hour from a battery 
after as much use as many have gotten, that would be considered pretty good.  
You can try tracking a new one down with 1-800-batteries or www.batteries.com
