I rarely get more than 30 to 45 minutes on my 4 year old batteries. I only
got about 1 hour to an hour and 20 minutes when they were new (with the
screen completely dimmed). Nature of the beast!
BTW -- I just read a review of the new iBook where the testers were unable
to get more than 3 hours out of the supposed 6 hour battery life under
"regular" use. While that's still pretty good, it amounts to a battery
change for us Duo users so nothing to get jealous over. And as far as that
wireless surfing is concerned -- I've been doing that for over 2 years now
with an IBM cordless 900MHz interface. You can pick 'em up for about $30
at PC Connection right now and start surfing with your Duo in the middle
of your back yard just like those cocky iBooksters -- just remember to
bring extra batteries. :-)
